MAX HAHN has joined West Ham United as their new Head of Technical Recruitment and Analysis, as Technical Director Tim Steidten makes his mark behind the scenes.

Steidten joined the Hammers in July 2023 from Bayer Leverkusen and has set about upgrading their recruitment and analysis department. Hahn is only 28 and moves to West Ham from Werder Bremen, where he was Scouting and Analysis Co-Ordinator.

Prior to that he held the same role at SV Darmstadt and was an Analyst at Dynamo Dresden. Steidten also worked for Werder Bremen - from 2008 to 2019, latterly as their Manager Sport - although he was not there at the same time as Hahn.

However, his brother, Moritz Steidten, was - and he too is joining West Ham as a scout. Hahn has replaced Jordan Miles, West Ham's former Head of Recruitment Analysis, who left in July to join Aberdeen. As TGG reported earlier today, Miles has now been appointed Head of Recruitment at Leeds United.

Hahn’s first official day with the Hammers is tomorrow. Meanwhile, Dylan Curnell has been promoted from Head of Academy Analysis to First Team Recruitment Analyst.
