Jordan Miles: Worked for West Ham for seven years before short stint at Aberdeen

JORDAN MILES has left Aberdeen after seven months to become the new Head of Recruitment at Leeds United.

Miles joined the Scottish side as Head of Recruitment in July 2023, following seven years at West Ham. He had joined the Hammers in June 2016 as a Performance Analyst and was promoted to Head of Recruitment Analysis in January 2018.

Prior to that he worked for Ipswich Town for five years, as Head of Performance Analysis. At Leeds, Miles will focus on first-team recruitment, with Craig Dean in charge of Academy Recruitment. Dean has worked for the Whites for more than seven years.

Alex Davies, who has been with Leeds for more than 13 years, is Head of Recruitment Operations.

Nick Hammond, who joined Leeds in June 2023 after their change of ownership to help with the summer transfer window, has continued as a recruitment consultant and remains influential. Gretar Steinsson, who joined in July as Technical Director, is in overall charge of the football department.

The club plan to make more appointments in their recruitment department, including a number of video scouts. Miles’ replacement as Head of Recruitment at Aberdeen is Chris Badlan, who was sacked as Blackpool Sporting Director in April 2023 after just four months.

Prior to that Badlan was Head of Recruitment at Coventry City.
