West Brom President Andrew Nestor has left by mutual agreement after two years with the club.
The American was a member of the Bilkul Football Group, which acquired West Brom in February 2024, and was appointed Sporting Director in the summer of 2024. In September 2025, he was promoted to the role of President, in charge of “all club functions” and overseeing a new leadership team.
At the time, Chairman Shilen Patel said: “With Andrew at the helm, I am more excited by the future than ever.”
However, Albion are now in the Championship relegation zone and relations between the pair have become strained, leading to Nestor’s exit.
In a brief statement, Albion said: “The club thanks Andrew for his contributions and wishes him well in the future.”
Nestor had not attended a Baggies game since December, although he was behind the decision to appoint Eric Ramsay as the club’s new Head Coach last month, after he had been on the shortlist that ultimately led to Ryan Mason becoming boss in June 2025.
Nestor was our guest on Episode #67 of the TGG Podcast in April 2025, in what turned out to be his only in-depth interview during his time at Albion.
He said: “We’re not making emotional decisions. There is a plan and process in place and we’re going to trust that.
“That doesn’t mean you don’t pivot and learn, but you don’t lose your head and make rash decisions.”
Before joining West Brom, the American revived the Tampa Bay Rowdies, serving as President, CEO and General Manager as the club claimed the 2012 League Championship in just their third season.
He was also a key player in the takeover of Italian side Bologna, serving as Director for two years during an operational transformation across sporting and commercial departments as the team secured an immediate return to Serie A.
The club are now in the process of appointing a new Technical Director, who had been due to report into Nestor, but who will now lead football operations at the club.
