What are the Masterclasses?

Available exclusively to Premium Members, the Masterclasses are a mix of insights from industry experts and technical deep-dives with Twelve Data Scientists. You can join live and put your questions directly to the presenters — and if you can’t make it, recordings are added to the on-demand Library afterwards.

The goal is straightforward: to give you the knowledge and connections that will help you break into professional football, or sharpen your expertise if you’re already in it.

What’s coming up:

• Monday 1 June: How ballet leverages data (Dr Gregory MacMillan, Data Analyst, The Royal Ballet School). What can football learn from one of the world’s most data-savvy performing arts organisations? Dr MacMillan reveals how The Royal Ballet School uses analytics — and the lessons that translate directly to elite sport.
• Tuesday 9 June: Scouting & Recruitment Webinar (Full-day conference, seven presentations). A deep dive into one of football’s most data-driven departments, with multiple industry experts across a full day of sessions.
• Monday 29 June: Tactical trends at the World Cup (David Laszlo, Analyst, Hungarian Football Federation). A timely breakdown of the tactical patterns and data stories emerging from the tournament as the group stage ends. 
• Monday 27 July: Individual tactical preparation (Alec Tate, Personal Tactical Analyst, AT Analysis). How do elite players prepare tactically for individual opponents and specific match scenarios? Alec Tate works one-on-one with professional players to give them a personal analytical edge — and shares how that process works in practice.
• Wednesday 5 August: Building team performance by developing individual behaviours (Jack Cassidy & Andres Flores, Portland Timbers 2). How do you build a high-performing team by focusing on the individual? Two of the coaching staff behind one of MLS’s most progressive development sides reveal their methodology — and the practical tools they use to develop players and drive collective performance.
