Former Stoke City Head Coach Narcís Pèlach has joined West Ham as one of Graham Potter’s four assistants.
Pèlach was sacked by the Potters on December 27th after just three months in charge of the Championship club.
Prior to the Potters, the Spaniard was First-Team Coach at Huddersfield Town and then Norwich City.
Potter was today named Head Coach of West Ham on a two-and-a-half year contract and his first game in charge of the club will be against Aston Villa in the FA Cup on Friday. His other assistants will be Bruno (Assistant Coach), Billy Reid (First-Team Coach) and Xavi Valero (Goalkeeper Coach).
Reid has worked alongside Potter since 2013, at Östersunds, Swansea City, Brighton and Chelsea, while Bruno was on his staff at Brighton and Chelsea. Valero joined the Hammers under Manuel Pellegrini in 2016 and has proved a great survivor, remaining under David Moyes, Julen Lopetegui and now Potter.
Lopetegui has been sacked after just six months in charge and five staff, all Spanish, are also expected to leave with him (although the club has not yet made an official announcement on this):
- Pablo Sanz (Assistant)
- Oscar Caro (Head of Performance)
- Juan Peinado (Head of Analysis)
- Borja de Alba (Fitness Coach)
- Edu Rubio (Technical Coach)
