Nottingham Forest have completed a multi-million-pound upgrade to their training ground, including a new “state-of-the-art” 405 square-metre gym, physio rooms and rehab rooms.

This follows on from the opening of two new hybrid pitches boasting “the same quality surface as the famous City Ground”. Work has also been done inside the players’ changing room, which now includes a new sauna, ice baths and hot baths “for optimal muscle recovery.”

The revamped dining area houses a new “premium-quality kitchen for the club’s team of chefs and nutritionists” and “a live cooking station, expanded restaurant seating and permanent coffee barista station.”

An extended lounge area has floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the training pitches and incorporates a pool table, gaming stations and table tennis. New breakout areas “allow for improved communication between players and staff to enhance the quality of contact time for one-to-one coaching and performance review sessions.”

Upstairs in the Nigel Doughty Academy, offices have been renovated and extended to include a new boardroom, a suite of “impressive meeting spaces” and a video analysis room with direct balcony access for filming training sessions.
