New West Brom Head Coach Tony Mowbray has confirmed the backroom staff who will join him at The Hawthorns.

The 61-year-old was appointed Baggies boss on Friday, marking a return to the club he managed from 2006 to 2009 and led to the Championship title in 2008.

Also returning is Mark Venus, as Assistant. Venus has worked with Mowbray throughout his managerial career. Baggies legend James Morrison, who was signed by Mowbray in 2007, has been named First Team Coach.

Boaz Myhill, another former West Brom player, has been appointed Goalkeeper Coach, while Damia Abella remains in place as First Team Statistical Analyst, having worked under Carlos Corberan for the last two seasons.

Chris Brunt, who took interim charge of the club prior to Mowbray’s arrival, returns to his permanent role as Lead Tactical Scout, Head of Loans and Pathways & PDP Talent.

He has taken six staff with him from West Brom, where he had been in charge for just over two years.

When former West Brom Head Coach Carlos Corberan left The Hawthorns at the end of last year, he took six staff with him to Valencia: Marcos Abad (Goalkeeping Coach), Jorge Alarcón (Assistant), Josep Alcácer (Assistant), Martin Drury (Assistant), Rafael Aranda (Fitness Coach) and Ángel de las Heras (Assistant).

Mowbray’s first game in charge will be against another of his former sides, Middlesbrough, on Tuesday evening.
