Senior Data Analyst Jacob Dunlop has left Manchester United after four years to become a Solutions Engineer for sports technology company Teamworks.
Dunlop joined United in April 2022 as a Reporting and Strategy Analyst, reporting into former Head of Strategy Chris Chiang (the duo are pictured together above with the 2024 FA Cup).
In July 2025 he moved into Michael Sansoni’s Analytics department as Senior Football Data Analyst. At Teamworks, Dunlop will be working specifically on Player ID, the football recruitment and player evaluation product built on the foundation of Zelus Analytics, which Teamworks acquired in 2024.
Writing on LinkedIn, he said: “After 4+ incredible years at Manchester United, I’ve decided to embark on a new adventure, joining Teamworks Player ID as a Solutions Engineer.
“Anyone who knows me personally will know Manchester United will always hold a special place in my heart as a lifelong fan and season ticket holder. The experiences I had and the people I met at United were truly second to none.
“I look forward to celebrating all of your future successes from the stands. Looking ahead I’m beyond excited to have joined an organisation in Teamworks that is going from strength to strength globally in the sports tech space, and Player ID (formerly Zelus) is a product that embodies the best of data driven recruitment.”
- Jacob Dunlop will be taking part in Teamworks’ recruitment break-out session on Day One of TGG Live 2026 in September. To find out more about our industry-leading conference and to buy tickets, click HERE.
