ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Performance Analysis has come to play an integral role in football; we are continuing to look at how we gain a competitive edge on and off the pitch.

We feel that by using data and video to extract insights we can improve player performance and measure our alignment to our coaching philosophy. Because of this, we now have a unique and exciting opportunity for a Performance Analyst to join our Men’s First Team Performance Analysis Department at Finch Farm.

Reporting into our Men's Lead First Team Analyst, the role will focus on providing football analysis support to all the relevant First Team staff and players, where you will support and contribute to opposition analysis processes, match day performance and post match analysis.

Other key responsibilities as part of this role include:

Opposition Analysis

  • Leading on provisions and profiling within opposition analysis, for all competitions at Men’s First Team level; providing reviews and reports to Men’s First Team Coaches.
  • Creating detailed opponent dossiers utilising data, from a team and individual perspective, of opposition information; working closely with the Data Insights function of the Men’s First Team.
  • Coding and presentation of opposition footage; with telestrated presentations to enable understanding of insights.
  • Attend upcoming opposition team’s fixtures, as and when required. [Text Wrapping Break].

Set Piece Analysis

  • Working closely with our First Team Performance Analyst on set piece analysis provision. The role will utilise data analysis and video feedback techniques to provide detailed research on best practice related to set pieces.
  • Creating Set Piece Insights for the Men’s First Team, through creation, and evolution of video content and data.

Training Analysis

  • Play a key role in the capture & analysis of all relevant First Team training sessions. Enabling all sessions are ready for instant review.
  • Manage & database all training sessions in relation to our Game Model.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Essentially, we are looking for a talented and confident performance analyst who has the knowledge and skill to play an integral role in our Men’s First Team Performance Analysis Department.

You will be confident in communicating with all stakeholders as you will be leading the development and implementation of business intelligence and analytics strategies and really proving why data is important to a football club like ours.

The role is permanent and will be based at Finch Farm training ground in Liverpool (Halewood); working 40 hours per week, the closing date of this advert is Monday 21st October 2024.
