Hull City have parted company with Sporting Director Jared Dublin with immediate effect, just six weeks after the club secured promotion to the Premier League via the Championship play-offs.
In a brief statement on the club’s official website, Hull thanked Dublin for his contribution to the promotion and wished him well for the future, without giving a reason for the departure.

According to the Hull Daily Mail, the split stemmed from a breakdown in negotiations over a new contract for Dublin following promotion, with the club understood to feel his salary demands were too high.
The American joined Hull in August 2024 as Head of Recruitment following his exit from Stoke City, where he held the same position, and was promoted to Sporting Director a year later.
Before his move to East Yorkshire, he had spells in recruitment at Reading and Stoke City. He joined Sheffield United as a recruitment analyst and scout in 2016 and was promoted to Chief Scout in 2019, around the time that the club won promotion to the Premier League.
He then oversaw recruitment through their ninth-place finish on their return to the top flight.
Working alongside Head of Recruitment Martin Hodge, Dublin played a significant role in Hull’s recruitment drive ahead of last season, which brought in players including Oli McBurnie, Joe Gelhardt, Semi Ajayi and Yu Hirakawa — signings that proved central to Hull’s promotion-winning campaign under Head Coach Sergej Jakirovic.
That work was carried out despite the club serving a transfer ban across two windows following overdue payments to other clubs in the summer of 2025, a restriction Hull have since had lifted having balanced their books to avoid a Financial Fair Play sanction.
The club are already working on a replacement. The club open their Premier League campaign at home to Manchester United on August 22nd, with the summer transfer window closing at 11pm on 1 September.
