Liverpool lose Sporting Director Hughes and two scouting chiefs to Al-Hilal

Richard Hughes has left his position as Liverpool’s Sporting Director after two years to take up the same role at Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia – and has taken two of the club’s senior scouting staff with him to Riyadh.

Hughes’ move had been widely touted, but Liverpool waited until the end of the summer transfer window to confirm it. Al-Hilal said Hughes had started work with them on Sunday (September 6th) – the day he arrived in Riyadh.
