SIMON RUSK has been appointed as an England youth coach for the 2022/23 season.

As TGG reported on Friday, Manchester United Under-23 assistant Neil Ryan has also joined the national set-up. The full list of age group coaches will be announced ahead of the new season.

Rusk, 40, spent nine years at Brighton leading the U18s, U23s and also assisting Chris Hughton with the senior side on two occasions.

He became manager of Stockport County in January 2021 before moving to Dundee in February this year as assistant to Mark McGhee (who had been his assistant at Stockport). The side were subsequently relegated from the Scottish Premiership.

The current list of England age group coaches is below:

U20s

  • Head coach: Andy Edwards
  • Assistant coach: Jason Euell
  • Goalkeeper coach: Danny Alcock

U19s

  • Head coach: Ian Foster
  • Assistant coach: Marcus Bignot
  • Goalkeeper coach: Anthony White

U18s

  • Head coach: Ryan Garry
  • Assistant coach: Michael Johnson
  • Goalkeeper coach: Adrian Tucker

U17s

  • Head coach: Tom Curtis
  • Assistant coach: Omer Riza
  • Assistant coach: Paul Davis
  • Goalkeeper coach: Sam Meek
