PATRICK ORME has left Bristol City after seven-and-a-half years to become Head of Sport Science at Swansea City.

He replaces Tom Barnden, who left the Swans in September to become Head of Sport Science at Southampton. Orme joined Bristol City in July 2016 as Under-23s Sport Scientist and was promoted to Head of Fitness and Conditioning in June 2019.

Prior to that he was a Sport Scientist PhD student at Liverpool.

After being presented with a framed shirt bearing the number seven and his name by Bristol City’s players, Orme wrote on Twitter: “So after just over seven years my time at Bristol City has come to an end.

“It was a really hard decision to leave but it’s been an amazing journey and I’ve met some brilliant people along the way. Thank you to everyone who made it a great place to work. It’s been a pleasure!”
