FORMER Wolves Head of Sport Science Tom Farrow has joined Chelsea as a Physical Performance Coach.

As TGG has previously reported, Chelsea have instigated major changes in their Performance and Medical department since the Todd Boehly-led takeover of the club last May.

Medical Director Paco Biosca, Head Physio Thierry Laurent, Senior Physio Jon Fearn and physio Jason Palmer all departed following a review of the department by Freddie Murray.

In their place have come physios Fearghal Kerin and Dave Fevre and now Farrow, who previously worked as a consultant for Murray’s private physio firm Remedy.

In June 2021, Farrow was appointed Head of Sport Science at Wolves, as part of a major restructure of the department led by Head of Performance and Medicine Rob Chakraverty.

Farrow can be seen working in the gym with England full-back Ben Chilwell in a video that Chelsea released on their social media channels today. Prior to joining Wolves, Farrow spent almost five years as a Strength and Conditioning Coach with the England 7s rugby side.
