Everton confirm five Italian additions to backroom staff

EVERTON have confirmed the appointment of five more Italian staff to Carlo Ancelotti’s backroom team.
When the 60-year-old was appointed in December 2019, his son Davide was the only confirmed addition to the staff. Now a further five have been unveiled: Head of Physical Conditioning Francesco Mauri, sport scientist and data analyst Luca Guerra, video analyst Simeone Montanaro, fitness coach Manuel Morabito and recovery and performance specialist Mino Fulco.

All five worked with Ancelotti at Napoli, while several have worked with him for much longer.
Francesco Mauri (Head of Physical Conditioning): Ancelotti worked with his father, Giovanni, for many years, going all the way back to Parma in 1996. He has now worked with Mauri Jnr at Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Napoli and now Everton.
Luca Guerra (Sport Scientist and Data Analyst): Has worked with Ancelotti at his last five clubs: PSG, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Napoli and now Everton. Says "I work in data analysis and also with the players in the gym."
Simeone Montanaro (Video Analyst): Highly experienced. Worked with Ancelotti at Napoli and has also been on the staff at AC Milan, Sampdoria, Fiorentina and Roma in Italy, as well as for Spanish side Sevilla.
Manuel Morabito (Fitness Coach): Worked at Reggiana for three years before joining Ancelotti at Napoli in July 2018.
Mino Fulco (Recovery and Performance Specialist): Worked with Ancelotti at Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Napoli. Explains his role as being to "take care of the players, promoting wellness and improving physical recovery."
