ARSENAL Senior Physio Simon Murphy has left the club after a year to become Head Physio at newly-promoted Nottingham Forest.

Murphy joined the Gunners last July after seven years with Leicester City, where he had risen through the ranks to become Head Physio in July 2020. His move to Forest marks a return to Nottingham, where he was a undergraduate student from 2008 to 2011.

Murphy is replacing Neil Simms, who has left the City Ground after five years to become Lead Performance Physio at Southampton.

And another first-team physio has left Forest, with Portuguese Luis Pinho exiting after a year to join Tottenham. Pinho arrived at Forest in June 2021 from Sheffield Wednesday.
