Wilshere appoints two new coaches at Luton
New Luton manager Jack Wilshere has appointed David Bridges and Tim Corcoran as First Team Coaches.
Bridges mentored former Arsenal players including Wilshere during his time working for the Professional Footballers’ Association as a Coach Developer. He has also worked for Lincoln – first as Head of Coaching in their Academy and then as Assistant Head Coach. He played for Cambridge United and Stevenage, but spent most of his career in the non-league game.
Corcoran worked for Arsenal for more than 20 years – starting on their facilities team as a 16-year-old and working his way up to become a member of manager Mikel Arteta’s first-team coaching staff.
Wilshere told Luton’s website: “David knows this league, he knows players in this league and he knows what it feels like. He’ll help me when I’m thinking about planning a game and if we’re going away somewhere I’ve never been, he will be able to give me a little bit of something I don’t have.
“Tim used to walk 10 miles a day to get to Arsenal in the early days and he did every job, because he has the same love for the game as me.”
Bridges and Corcoran join Chris Powell in Wilshere’s backroom team.
