Background to the new site
Training Ground Guru Founder Simon Austin said: “TGG started off as a blog and Twitter account in 2017 and has grown to incorporate a podcast, jobs board, online events and an annual conference. We wanted our new website to bring all these elements together in one place for the first time – and to have a brand and logo that would reflect what TGG has become.
“We also wanted to have a Members section for the first time, which would be the place to place for dedicated followers to get enhanced information and insights, as well as showcasing their skills and experience to the rest of the industry. We have big plans for how this will develop over time and deliver a lot of value for our TGG Members.”
The new TGG website was built by Cotton, with the new logo and brand created by Ensemble. Both are based in Manchester, as is TGG.
Martin Power, co-founder of Ensemble, said: “The idea was to shift TGG from a playful aesthetic to a more mature brand. It’s the goal of the new brand to become a badge of excellence for elite sports content in the years to come.”
James Seddon, founder of Cotton, added: “Watching the design and development that I created seven years ago grow into the well-established ‘go-to’ site it has become has been a pleasure. When Simon got in touch about the evolution of the site and the direction he would like TGG to go in, it made sense to freshen it up with a new look and admin system.”
We hope you enjoy using the new website and we welcome your feedback, which you can give at info@trainingground.guru.
The original TGG site will remain accessible as an archive.
