Played more than 100 games for the Blades during two stints, before becoming their manager in May 2016. Early on in his tenure they were bottom of League One, but the Englishman subsequently led them to two promotions. Also led Oxford United back into the Football League and Northampton Town to League One.
Was a manager in his own right - in fact Wilder was his assistant at Bury. Roles were reversed in January 2014 when Knill joined Wilder at Northampton and they have been together ever since, with three promotions along the way. Knill has been particularly innovative in terms of set pieces, as TGG outlined HERE.
The former Wales international joined United as Academy goalkeeping coach, before being promoted to the first team.
FIRST TEAM COACH/ HEAD OF SPORTS SCIENCE
Unusual in being both first team coach and Head of Sports Science. Joined the Blade in May 2016, having also worked with Wilder at Northampton.
INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT COACH
Left Bristol City after almost six years at the end of 2018/19. Had mainly worked as a fitness coach during that time, but also has a background in coaching. In this new role he will ensure that the development needs of individual players are being met. You can read more about the role HERE.
PERFORMANCE & MEDICAL
A former professional player who was a physio at Brighton for 12 years before joining United in June 2017.
Worked at Barnsley for almost nine years before moving to Leeds United with manager Paul Heckingbottom in February 2018. His time at Elland Road and, subsequently, Ipswich Town was short-lived. Appointed by the Blades in June 2019.
Was Head Academy Physio at nearby Barnsley before joining the Blades in October 2017.
SPORTS SCIENTIST/ S&C
Was an intern at the club before getting a permanent role win July 2010. Started off with the Academy before being promoted to first team duties in 2013.
Like several other staff at United, he was a student at Sheffield Hallam University. Joined the club as an S&C coach and nutritionist in 2013.
One of the longest-serving members of staff, having joined in 2004. Job entails opposition, post game, recruitment and data analysis.
ASSISTANT PERFORMANCE ANALYST
Worked at Leicester City's Academy for two years before joining the Blades last summer.
