Nicky Hayen

Head Coach

Appointed to replace Scott Parker in July 2026 for his first job in England. Has spent most of his professional career – both playing and managing in his native Belgium, although he did spend six months in charge of Welsh side Haverfordwest in 2022. He was most recently in charge of Club Brugge and then Genk before moving to Turf Moor.

Johan Van Rumst

Assistant

Appointed in the 2026 close season having worked with Nicky Hayen at Genk. Spent his playing career in Belgium and the Netherlands before moving into coaching, working for various clubs including Club Brugge and Monaco before becoming Hayen’s Assistant at Genk in January 2026.

Henrik Jensen

Assistant

Joined from Swedish side Kalmarr FF in June 2024, having previously managed Danish club Midtjylland in a caretaker capacity.Has also managed IFK Norrköping and Linköpings FC and upon arriving at Burnley, he said: “It’s been a dream for me to coach in England.”

Jack Cork

Assistant

Former Burnley player who joined the Under-21s as a coach in the summer of 2024 and was promoted to the first team coaching set-up a year later. Retained by new Head Coach Nicky Hayen on his arrival. Cork, who played for Team GB at the 2012 Olympics, is the son of former Wimbledon striker Alan.

Mike Jackson

Coach

Former Tranmere and Preston player arrived at Turf Moor as U23s coach in 2021 and became first-team manager for the final few games of 2021/22 after Sean Dyche was sacked. Remained in the first-team set-up under Kompany. Had a brief spell as Interim Head Coach at the end of the 2025/26 season and stayed in the coaching set-up after Nicky Hayen’s arrival.

Joined Burnley in the 2024 close season after previous experience with Borussia Monchengladbach, Hertha Berlin and FC Koln.

Appointed in the summer of 2026 after leaving Oxford where he was also Head of Performance – a role he previously held at Portsmouth. Has also been Head of Medical at Bury and Wigan, where he played briefly, Academy Physiotherapist at Liverpool and Head of Medical and Performance at Stoke.
