Scott replaced by ex-Chelsea man as Forest reshape medical department

The club have decided not to renew his contract and have instead brought in former Chelsea Medical Director Dimitris Kalogiannidis as Head of Medical.

Kalogiannidis worked for Chelsea from August 2010 to January 2024, initially as doctor for the women’s team, then the Academy, before moving across to the men’s first team. In October 2022, he replaced the long-serving Paco Biosca as Medical Director.

He left Chelsea after more than 13 years, for family reasons.  He subsequently took charge of medical services at Saudi club Al Ahli, a role that ended in December 2025 after a decision by the club’s management to move in a ‘different direction’.

Forest have already strengthened their performance department this summer, with new Head Coach Oliver Glasner bringing in Michael Berktold as part of his backroom team. Berktold has worked alongside Glasner at LASK, Wolfsburg and Crystal Palace, where he took charge of fitness and conditioning.

Kalogiannidis’s arrival is part of a broader reshaping of Forest’s football department. Last month, TGG revealed that George Syrianos has been promoted to Chief Football Officer following the sidelining of Edu, who was brought in as Global Head of Football in July 2025 but has not been involved with the club for several months

Pedro Ferreira, who worked alongside Syrianos on the process to appoint Glasner this summer, has moved from Head of Recruitment to Technical Director. Ed Henderson has returned to the club in the newly-created role of Chief of Staff, Football, having originally left on December 31st 2025 for what was expected to be a move to Saudi Arabia that fell through unexpectedly.

Connor Barrett has been promoted from Global Recruitment Operations Manager to Assistant Sporting Director. Craig Mulholland, Forest’s former Head of Football Development and Talent Management, left at the end of the season to become Chief Football Officer at the Scottish FA.
