Tom Reynolds has been appointed as the new Head of Recruitment at Cercle Brugge in Belgium.
Reynolds joins Cercle, the sister club of AS Monaco, after almost three years as First Team Scout at Eintracht Frankfurt, where the German club built a strong reputation for buying and developing young talent.
Before that, the Englishman was First Team Scout and Head of Data Analysis at Lokomotiv Moscow, working under Ralf Rangnick. He started his career in football as a Performance Analyst at Reading and was then Sport Scientist at Charlton Athletic.
Reynolds has also worked in various roles for sports tech company Stats Perform, including Opta Match Analyst and AI Innovation Manager – Team Performance.
Reynolds posted on LinkedIn about how much his time at Frankfurt had meant to him.
“It’s with a heavy heart that I leave and say goodbye to Eintracht Frankfurt,” he said. “Together we created history, both from a sporting and a scouting perspective. From qualifying for the UEFA Champions League for the first time ever (through our Bundesliga finish), to consistently selling players for huge profits.
“It has been a pleasure working in an elite scouting environment, but most importantly, every day was fun and full of learnings because we had a department of exceptional human beings.
“The pleasure has been mine – our relationships go far beyond scouting!”
