Biography

Oliver “Ollie” Hewish is a Canadian soccer leader, coach, and technical strategist with experience spanning grassroots, high-performance, professional, and international environments. He currently serves as Executive Director of Suburban FC, Atlantic Canada’s largest youth soccer organizations and the region’s only Canada Soccer National Youth Licence club.

Alongside his executive leadership, Hewish has worked within the Canadian professional and national team pathway. He has held coaching roles with the HFX Wanderers, in First Team & Academy capacities, in the Canadian Premier League environment and has contributed within Canada Soccer national team programming, including work with the Canada Women’s U17 National Team youth pathway. These experiences inform his approach to bridging community, academy, and elite performance contexts.

Hewish’s work centers on building aligned development systems. He has led the design and implementation of integrated game models, player development frameworks, and club technical standards aligned with Canada Soccer methodology and international best practice. He is also active in strategic projects related to talent identification, competition structures, and soccer development in Atlantic Canada.

His methodology emphasizes alignment across philosophy, training, environment, and behavior to produce repeatable performance and long-term player development.
