Port Vale recruitment chief Darnbrough to leave club

Port Vale have confirmed that Senior Head of Recruitment Lee Darnbrough is to leave the club at the end of this month.

Darnbrough joined Vale last summer after previous senior recruitment roles at West Brom, Burnley, Hull and Stoke. He also had a spell as Head of Scouting for Norwich.

As a teenager, Darnbrough was a goalkeeper at Oldham but never made a senior appearance and his career was ended early by injury.

Vale’s Head of Recruitment Tommy Johnson and Chief Scout Martin Foyle will continue to support the club’s recruitment process going forward.
