Manchester City promote Owen to First Team Physio

Alex Owen has been promoted to First Team Physio by Manchester City.

Owen has been at the club for nearly seven years, having joined in November 2018 as Women’s First Team Physio. In February 2020, he became Academy Physio and at the end of 2021, took on the role of Lead Under-18s Physio. He held that job until December 2024 when he became EDS Physio.

Before joining City, he worked for Vauxhall Motors and then had two internships at Liverpool – later becoming a part-time Academy Physio with the club for two years. He also spent five years as Head of Academy Sports Medicine and Science at Bury and away from football had a year as the Senior Physio for GB Taekwondo.
