Leicester’s Lead Data Scientist joins Ludonautics

Leicester City’s Lead Data Scientist, Peter Thompson, has left the club after two-and-a-half years to join Ian Graham’s sports advisory firm Ludonautics.

Thompson joined the Foxes from Southampton in March 2024 as Recruitment Data Scientist. Six months later he was promoted to become their Lead Data Scientist.

The man he replaced was Edd Webster, who had also left to join Ludonautics, the analytics consultancy founded in 2023 by former Liverpool Head of Research Ian Graham.

The business offers data-driven player recruitment, performance analysis, manager recruitment, financial modelling and club valuation. In June, we reported that Sasha Satikova was leaving her role as Tottenham’s Lead Data Scientist to join Ludonautics as a Club Consultant.

Satikova will be presenting on Day One of TGG Live 2026 at Old Trafford on September 29th.
