Vacancy summary
Sunderland AFC is looking to recruit a Head of Analysis and Data to work within the club to establish and support evidence-led decision making across the football and business departments of the Club, through efficient and effective use of data and performance analysis.
Reporting to the Sporting Director and Chief Operating Officer, this position will be the main interface between the football and business operations and the data/performance teams. The aim is to develop a common data and performance language understood by all parties to simply engagement, creating a football and business operations technology and data roadmap.
The successful applicant will have excellent communication and presentation skills to lead development, maintain and improve operational processes aligned to the roadmap that incorporates structured decision making and governance.
The successful candidate will have experience in football or other sports sectors and hold a degree in a numerate discipline, having the ability to engage with and influence stakeholders and lead project teams.
The position is full time (40 hours per week), with working hours being flexible around business demands and include evening and weekend work as required, including home matches and special events. You will be expected to undertake any specific training or Continued Professional Development to maintain your up-to-date knowledge and qualifications, and/or as organised by the club.
