WHO WE ARE

Everton Football Club is one of world sport's most respected and revered names - a by-word for innovation and professionalism during the course of a glittering history that spans three centuries.

One of the 12 founder members of the Football League, Everton has played more games in English football's top flight than any other club.

While rightly proud of our rich past, and Goodison Park, our home of more than 130 years, we are now setting our sights on an exciting future at a state-of-the-art new stadium currently being constructed on the banks of the iconic River Mersey.

In doing so, we remain committed to developing and supporting teams across our men’s, women’s and Academy set-ups that inspire and compete at the highest level of the game.

Our values underpin how we behave, how we represent our club in our city and across the world of football, and how we look after one another and our community. They provide a framework for how we work and engage with partners, suppliers and, most importantly, our fans.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

For decades, our Club’s Academy has been one of the most respected and renowned in football, and its vision to develop young players who are technically and tactically capable of playing for the Everton 1st Team or having a career in the professional game remains as focused as ever. Because of this we are now looking for an ambitious and motivated Academy Performance Analyst to join our Performance Analysis team at Finch Farm.

As Academy Performance Analyst you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and deliver high quality performance analysis support to colleagues and players across the Academy. You will lead pre, post and live match performance analysis provision to the U18s Academy age group, and link in with the performance insights departments to provide video and statistical feedback on identified players.

Other key responsibilities as part of this role include:

  • Using video, technology and data to assist in the player-centred development programme at all levels of the Academy
  • Deliver pre-match opposition analysis in line with the Everton FC game model
  • Coding all youth matches using the Everton FC game model code window as required by the department
  • Collecting and analysing performance data, trend analysis and report writing
  • Completing individual player profiling across Phases players

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Essentially, we are looking for someone who is confident in working with data and has knowledge of Sports Code or other similar analysis systems.

You will be confident in communicating with all stakeholders as you will be leading the development and implementation of business intelligence and analytics strategies and really proving why data is important to a football club like ours.

If you are passionate about data with an ambitious spirit that can transcend across our Academy then we would love to hear from you!

The role is permanent and will be based at Finch Farm training ground in Liverpool (Halewood); working 40 hours per week, the closing date of this advert is Tuesday 8th October 2024.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive a substation amount of applications.
