Role Purpose

The role of the Technical Analyst is to provide the first team technical staff and players with high‑quality performance insights across all aspects of our game model.

The role works collaboratively with both the analysis and coaching teams to ensure all analytical needs of the Club are met and fully integrated into weekly preparation and our long‑term performance objectives.

The ideal candidate will align with our Club’s values and bring a passionate commitment to inspiring both this and the next generation of female athletes. They will be a highly detail‑oriented practitioner who thrives in a multidisciplinary environment, demonstrates a proactive drive to continually learn, adapt and improve, and is an excellent team player.

This is a new position within the business, so the responsibilities are not set in stone. We need someone who can jump in, get things done and work with the senior leadership team to shape the future of the club.

Main Duties/ Responsibilities

1. Technical Analysis Workflow

  • Comprehensive video analysis across all areas of our First Team performance, through video and performance analytics.
  • Support the process of translating performance insights into team training objectives.
  • Lead our post‑match analysis process by generating insights that align with the Club’s football philosophy and support individual player development.
  • Collate and document training session aligned to the Club’s methodology.
  • Interpret and translate statistical analysis into clear, purposeful action points that inform our decision-making process.
  • Work in collaboration with the technical staff and performance analysts live on match day.
  • Complete other duties assigned by the technical staff.

2. Department Responsibilities

  • Manage and upkeep video databases aligned to a pre agreed criteria.
  • Contribute to the recording and coding of first team training.
  • Organise and maintain the hardware and software required for the match‑day analysis workflow.

3. Other ad-hoc duties as assigned from time-to-time by management.

What we are looking for

Qualifications and Training

Essential:

  • Bachelors or higher degree, or equivalent, in Sports Performance Analysis or a related field.

Desirable:

  • Related Sports Masters’ degree or equivalent in experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and is personally committed to achieving objectives set.
  • Ability to create, manage and continually improve department workflows and use own initiative to offer new ideas and innovations.
  • Experience in working within an elite football environment.
  • Working knowledge of relevant industry technologies and platforms.
  • Extensive tactical knowledge.

Desirable:

  • UEFA accredited coaching qualification.
  • Experience in working within a technical staff.
  • Experience in delivering clear, impactful performance messages to diverse audiences using a range of communication tools and methods.
  • Experience of data visualisation tools.
