Founded in 1882, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is an English Premier League Club, based in North London.

The Club is seeking a Loans & Emerging Talent Development Physiotherapist to ensure players are ready for competitive opportunities and promoting their physical and psychological development.

Job purpose

We are seeking a dedicated sports physiotherapist to support the monitoring, preparation, and integration of senior players, emerging talents, and loan players at THFC. This role involves ensuring players are ready for competitive opportunities and promoting their physical and psychological development.  The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Head of Loans and Pathways, in addition to both internal and external medical and sports science staff.

Key responsibilities

  • Screening and player preparation.
  • Monitoring and load management.
  • Injury assessment, treatment, rehabilitation programming and RTT guidance for players both on and off-site.
  • Data-driven decision making and reporting: Screening reports, Weekly load report, Loan player match exposure reporting, End-of-season reporting, Data analytics.
  • Collaboration with medical, sports scientist, nutritionists and psychologists to ensure optimal player athletic develop and performance preparation is met.
  • Build successful and collaborative working rapport with both internal and external technical coaches, medical and sports science staff.

Qualifications and Person specification

  • Bachelor’s degree qualification in Physiotherapy.
  • Relevant master’s degree qualification in Sports Science, Sports Medicine, Sports Physiotherapy or Sports Rehabilitation.
  • Specialized knowledge in sports science, physical development, nutrition, and psychological support within elite sporting populations, preferably football experience.
  • Knowledge of player development and loan management processes in sports is a bonus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with players and staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain world-class standards in player support.
  • Proven experience in sports performance analysis or data reporting, preferably in a football or sports environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software and tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, or similar).
