The Role
As the Global Coach and Analyst Support Lead, you will deliver world-class support systems that empower coaches and analysts to achieve on-pitch success, while shaping and developing a connected, high-performing coaching community.
Working at the intersection of football philosophy, data, and real-world coaching practice, you will drive alignment in methodology and analysis standards across diverse competitions and cultures, ensuring aligned player and team development while valuing the unique context of each club.
In this role, you will lead the implementation and ongoing development of City Football Group’s global coaching and analysis framework, supporting group clubs to deliver best-in-class coaching processes, match preparation, performance analysis, and review.
You will work closely with coaches and analysts across academy and first-team environments to ensure strong alignment in methodology and standards, while collaborating with data, scouting, medical, and performance teams to embed analysis within a holistic, evidence-based performance model that is practical, coach-led, and impactful.
A key focus will be driving multi-club alignment and knowledge sharing by creating communities of practice, workshops, and shared resources, while supporting cross-club projects linked to game model and methodology development.
Through ongoing quality assurance and continuous improvement, you will ensure analysis outputs are clear, actionable, and relevant, staying at the forefront of global trends and innovation to continuously raise coaching and performance standards across City Football Group.
What we are looking for
- Elite coaching background, preferably with a UEFA A/ Pro Licence (or equivalent) and the credibility to operate effectively with senior coaches and performance staff.
- Experience in complex, multi-club or multi-team environments, with a strong understanding of how to balance global alignment with local context.
- Proven capability in coach and analyst development, including designing and delivering learning frameworks, CPD programmes, and structured onboarding for practitioners.
- Experience supporting coaches and analysts across different teams, age groups, and cultural contexts
- Influential leader and communicator, able to build trust, manage stakeholders, and translate complex performance insights into clear, actionable guidance
- Strategic focus with the ability to deliver operational, comfortable moving between long-term framework development and hands-on, day-to-day support in high-performance settings.
- Practitioner-focused, with an innovative mindset, commitment to continuous learning, and flexibility to work irregular hours and travel regularly across the club network.
- Additional language capability would be beneficial, reflecting the global scope of the role.
