Reporting to the Head of First Team Recruitment Analysis, the aim of this role is to support our scouting process through the application of video analysis, player performance data and related analyses, in alignment with the club’s playing style, strategic goals and culture.

An ongoing recruitment drive is being undertaken at the club, with key off-field appointments having been made already across our business operations, ticketing, and partnerships functions, in an effort to continue improving the experience for our supporters.
Main duties
- Support the player video analysis process, by contributing to the completion of videos assigned by the First Team Scouting Co-ordinator.
- Follow a process of analysing each player in line with key performance indicators, relevant to players position and club philosophy.
- Updating player video database in all relevant areas. Uploading/ storing of player videos into designated locations.
- Play a role in supporting the departments move to integrate new technology and processes into its day-to-day functioning. Provide relevant feedback to Head of First Team Recruitment Analysis.
- Support the continued development of the methodology for player analysis (not limited to video).
- Contribute positively within individual and group recruitment meetings.
- Create, evaluate and review Player Dossiers. Background and additional information gathered on target players you feel is relevant should be uploaded and stored in relevant areas.
- You may be required to undertake and/or contribute to the following: player motivational videos, club videos, and presentations.

Key knowledge
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of internal players at AFC Bournemouth and the Premier League level.
- Have a deep tactical knowledge of football and an understanding of current trends and ideas on how the game could develop moving forward.
- Be computer literate and have a level of proficiency in the use of appropriate platforms and video software, such as Hudl Wyscout, Hudl Sportscode Suite (inc. Studio), Statsbomb, and Adobe Suite.
- Demonstrate an understanding of how processes could be developed, on an ongoing basis.
