Manchester United Head of Physical Performance Ed Leng has given the first detailed account of the recovery suite built into the club’s Carrington training complex, describing it as “one of a kind” and explaining how it fits into players’ individual recovery programmes.
The suite opened as part of the £50m refit of Carrington unveiled in August 2025 and has been in use since last season. TGG reported on the refit at the time, including the passive recovery room with its dry flotation tanks and hyperbaric oxygen chambers, but the club had not previously described how the facility works or the thinking behind it.
