Goalkeeping coach Ward to leave promoted Cardiff

Goalkeeping coach Gavin Ward will leave Cardiff City this summer after two years at the club.

Ward, who played for the Bluebirds between 1989 and 1993, previously coached at Shrewsbury Town, Nottingham Forest, Burton Albion and Queens Park Rangers before returning to Cardiff under former boss Omer Riza in September 2024.

However, he remained part of current Head Coach Brian Barry-Murphy’s backroom staff this season as Cardiff won immediate promotion back to the Championship.
