Former Liverpool Director of Scouting and Recruitment Dave Fallows is to join Chelsea’s Sporting Leadership Team.
The 45-year-old is still in discussions with the club but is expected to work in partnership with Sporting Directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart, as well as Directors of Recruitment and Talent Joe Shields and Sam Jewell as part of the Leadership Team.
He will assist on recruitment, player pathways and loans. Fallows left Liverpool in October 2024 after 12 years and has also worked for Manchester City, Newcastle United and Bolton Wanderers.
In announcing his departure, Liverpool said Fallows had been “fundamental in helping build a team that would go on to achieve success at home and abroad, with the Reds winning the Premier League, Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, two League Cups and the FA Cup during his tenure.”
Meanwhile, Senior International Scout James Bell-Walker has left the club after nine years. Walker, who was Head of Recruitment at Bolton before joining the Blues, announced his exit on LinkedIn.
“After nine enjoyable and successful years working within the Scouting and Recruitment department at Chelsea, the time is right for me to move on and explore further opportunities,” he wrote.
“During my time at the Club, I have had the privilege of working with some exceptional staff and players, witnessing the club enjoy fantastic success, including Premier League and Champions League trophies (to name a few).
“I leave with only positive experiences of my time at Chelsea, and I wish the Club, and everyone involved continued success in the future. I’m excited to see what the future holds.”
