
Edu appointed Global Head of Football at Nottingham Forest

Former Arsenal Sporting Director Edu has been appointed to the new position of Global Head of Football at Nottingham Forest.
In his new position, Edu will “oversee all football-related functions, including recruitment, performance, squad strategy, and player development.”
Forest do already have a Sporting Director in Ross Wilson, who will now report into Edu.
Brazilian Edu was a member of Arsenal’s 2003/04 Invincibles side and re-joined them as Technical Director in July 2019 before being promoted to Sporting Director in November 2022.
Prior to that he was General Co-ordinator of the Brazil national team and Director of Football at Corinthians, his hometown club in Sao Paulo.
Welcoming his arrival at Forest, President Evangelos Marinakis said: “We are extremely happy to welcome Edu to our football family. His global experience, values, and winning mindset align perfectly with our objective to strengthen and expand our international football platform.”
