Martin Drury and James Krause have joined the backroom team under new Head Coach Liam Manning at Huddersfield Town.
Manning replaced Lee Grant, who was sacked by the League One club on Saturday.
Huddersfield-born Drury (pictured) comes in as Assistant Coach, while Krause, who worked with Manning at Oxford United, Bristol City and Norwich City, has been appointed as Coach/Analyst.
Drury has worked in his native West Yorkshire before – managing Bradford (Park Avenue) before crossing the city to work at Bradford City. He moved on to work in Manchester United’s Academy before joining West Bromwich Albion in August 2024 as part of Head Coach Carlos Corberan’s coaching staff.
The pair moved to Valencia in January 2025, but in the summer Drury returned to England to become Assistant First Team Coach at Brentford. However, he left the Premier League club at the start of September.
Krause worked for eight years at Arsenal, where he led their First Team Football Analysis Department, before linking up with Manning for the first time at Oxford.
Chris Elliott stays on as Head of Goalkeeping for both the first team and Academy.
‘Exceptional experience’
Town’s Sporting Director Chris Markham said: “Martin and James arrive at Canalside with exceptional experience and references from those they’ve worked alongside previously and, alongside Liam, will help us deliver the coaching and information to the players required to secure the type of results and performances we all want to see.
“Alongside discussions with Liam, I also spoke in detail with both Martin and James about the club, their roles here and our collective goals moving forward, and have full belief in their ability to make telling contributions both on and off the pitch.”
