Lauris Coggin has left West Ham after a decade to become the new Under-21s Assistant at Manchester City.

Coggin joined the Hammers in July 2016 as a Foundation Phase Coach for the U9 to U12 age groups, going on to work with their Youth Development Phase (13s to 16s).

In the summer of 2023, he was named assistant to Kevin Keen with the U18s and got the Head job a year later, steering the young Hammers to their first U18s Premier League Cup in a campaign in which they remained unbeaten.

At City, Coggin, a former Southend United scholar, will assist U18s Lead Ben Wilkinson. He  replaces Carl Mudd, who left City after more than 13 years to become First Team Coach at Sheffield Wednesday in September.

City’s U18s won Premier League North last season but were beaten by Aston Villa in both the National Final and the FA Youth Cup.
