Ben Knapper

Sporting Director

Arrived at Norwich City in November 2023 after 13 years at Arsenal, where he was an Analyst and then Loans Manager. Replaced the hugely influential Stuart Webber, who had been with the Canaries for seven years. Knapper spoke at TGG’s 2022 Scouting and Recruitment Webinar.

Neil Adams

Technical Director

Association with the club goes back more than two decades, as player, youth coach, manager and loans manager. Was promoted to Assistant Sporting Director at the end of September 2021. Title changed to Technical Director when Knapper was appointed. Will be leaving the club at the end of the 2025-26 season.

Lee Dunn

Head of Recruitment (Assistant Sporting Director from this summer)

Joined Norwich from Everton in 2013 as First Team Performance Analyst, before becoming Head of Performance Analysis two years later. In 2018, he became Head of Performance and Recruitment Analysis, before being promoted to become Head of Recruitment in the summer of 2021. In the summer of 2026, he will be promoted to become number two to Sporting Director Ben Knapper.

Philippe Clement

Head Coach

Appointed in November 2025 to replace Liam Manning. Joined the Canaries after 18 months in charge of Rangers. Started his managerial career with Waasland-Beveren in his native Belgium before taking charge of Genk and then Club Brugge, where he had spent most of his playing career, and after that Monaco. Has previous experience of English football after spending the 1998-99 season playing for Coventry City.

Stephan Van Der Heyden

Assistant Head Coach

Appointed in November 2025 alongside Clement., who he worked with at Rangers. Spent most of his playing career with Club Brugge, during which time he won four caps for Belgium and was in their squad for the 1994 World Cup finals. Coached at Sporting Lokeren, Club Brugge, Vardar Skopje, Jordan and Kerala Blasters before moving to Ibrox.

Ryan Garry

First Team Coach

Joined in June 2025 from Belgian club Lommel SK, where he had been Assistant since January 2024. Previously spent more than eight years at Arsenal as Youth and then Professional Development Coach, having had a brief playing career with the Gunners. Also played for AFC Bournemouth, where he began his coaching career.

Nick Stanley

Set Piece and First-Team Coach

Started as an intern with Brighton in July 2012 and rose up the ranks to become their Lead Performance Analyst and then Set Pieces Coach – the club’s first – in July 2019. Joined Norwich in July 2024.

Declan Rudd

First Team Goalkeeping Coach

Promoted from the Academy in December 2025 to replace Tony Roberts. Played in goal for Norwich in League One, the Championship and the Premier League, but made most of his career appearances for Preston. When injury finished his career in 2022, he returned to Carrow Road as Lead Academy Goalkeeping Coach.

Head of Performance

Arrived from Birmingham in 2013 as a sport scientist and was promoted to Head of Performance in November 2021 following the exit of Chris Domogalla with former manager Daniel Farke.

Jay Eastoe-Smith

Senior Physical Performance Coach

Joined Norwich as an intern in June 2012 and has been with them ever since. Promoted from Head of Academy Performance to the first team in December 2021.

Louis Cunningham

Strength & Conditioning Coach

Joined from Middlesbrough, where he’d worked since January 2020, in June 2021. The former England amateur boxer also worked for Sunderland’s Category One Academy for five years.

Goalkeeper Physical Performance Coach

Took up this new role in February 2024, joining from Blackburn Rovers, where he was Academy Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Chris Burton

Head of Medical

Joined from League One Scunthorpe in November 2017. Previously worked at Nottingham Forest, Barnsley, Hull City, Queens Park Rangers and Peterborough.

Mikey Burroughs

Senior Physio

Arrived in September 2022 from Cambridge United, where he had been Head of Medical for five years. Has also worked in rugby union, with London Scottish and Cornish Pirates.

Joined in 2005, initially with the Academy, and moved up to first team in 2017.

Nick Jenkinson

Physio

Arrived in March 2026 after 12 years as the Physiotherapist for the King Power Polo Team, where he was in charge of injuries, rehabilitation and strength and conditioning.

His football career started in the Azerbaijan Premier League, working under the management of former Arsenal captain Tony Adams. In his role he worked with a variety of players from those in the Academy up to internationals.

Has worked with the Canaries since October 2009. Provides primary care and sports medicine services, as well as emergency medical care on match day.

Joined from Peterborough United in June 2018. Rose from U23 Analyst to take on current role in August 2024.

Worked for Southampton’s Academy for four years before joining Norwich in June 2023. Initially Performance Analyst before becoming a Recruitment Analyst a year later.

The Loughborough graduate started as Sport Scientist in June 2019 before being promoted to current role in June 2021.

Arrived in July 2021 from wealth management firm Quilter, where he was Lead Analyst. Promoted from Data Team Lead to Data & Digital Manager to current role of Head of Data & Insight.

Started as an Intern and went on to become First Team Sport and Data Scientist before taking on current role.

Senior Data Engineer

Worked for Orlando City in the MLS (remotely from India) before joining Norwich in February 2025. A Full Stack Analytics Engineer “with a huge appetite to implement data-driven decision making processes using open-source tools and cutting-edge cloud technologies.”
