Appointed Chief Football Officer in March 2026, with “executive leadership of all football matters, ensuring long-term sporting alignment, strategic squad development and the high-performance environment required to deliver sustained competitive success.”

Joined in March 2026 to “support and help shape the club’s player recruitment and identification strategy.” Before that he spent eight years with City Football Group: as Head of Academy Sport Science and Medicine at Manchester City, Sporting Director at Lommel in Belgium and then Director of Player Development, overseeing emerging talent pathways across CFG’s portfolio of clubs.

Known for a pragmatic disciplined approach and strong man-management. Has amassed extensive second-tier experience across hundreds of games.

Assistant
Was a versatile defender and sometime midfielder who earned 19 caps for Scotland. Played for Leicester from 2000 to 2004 during a playing career in which he amassed more than 400 senior appearances. Assisted Rowett at Stoke and Millwall before moving into management himself, at St Johnstone and Queen’s Park. Rejoined Rowett at Leicester in February 2026.

Made 379 appearances for the Foxes as a player, winning League One, the Championship and the Premier League. Rejoined the club as U18s Assistant in summer of 2024 and promoted to First Team Coach, providing a bridge between the Academy and first team, in February 2025. Made Interim Head Coach when Martí Cifuentes was sacked in January 2026 and continued on staff under Rowett.

Made more than 500 senior appearances as a player and has coached at Bolton, Rotherham, Crystal Palace, Huddersfield and Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United. Arrived at Leicester from Norwich, where he was latterly Set Piece Coach.

Previously spent nine years at Leicester before leaving in 2023. First recruited by Nigel Pearson, promoted to First Team Coach under Claude Puel and continued under Brendan Rodgers. Took interim charge of the team alongside Mike Stowell following Rodgers’ exit, but left following Enzo Maresca’s appointment. Returned in January 2026.

Worked in sport since 2015, with Nottingham Rugby, Coventry United, Coventry City, Stoke City, and now Fulham. He joined Fulham in November 2023, but left in January 2025 for Leicester.
