Sergej Jakirović

Head Coach

Appointed in the summer of 2025 for his first job in English football. Managed in the Croatian, Slovenian, Bosnian and Turkish leagues before moving to Humberside. Voted Bosnian Premier League manager of the season in 2021/22 after breaking the league record of 13 consecutive victories to win the title with Zrinjski Mostar. Won five caps for Bosnia and Herzegovina during his playing career.

Assistant Head Coach

Croatian former midfielder who played for nine clubs in his homeland. UEFA Pro Licence holder. Began coaching at Sesvete in 2019, then joined Jakirović at Maribor in 2020 and has followed him since – to Zrinjski Mostar, Rijeka, Dinamo Zagreb and Kayserispor.

Dean Holden

Assistant Head Coach

Former defender who made more than 400 appearances across 10 clubs. Managed Bristol City and Charlton, with caretaker spells at Oldham and Stoke, before assisting Steven Gerrard at Al-Ettifaq. Then worked as Assistant at Adana Demirspor in Turkey. Handles the defensive side of Hull’s game.

Andy Dawson

Head of Player Development

Former Hull left-back and the first player in the club’s history to win four promotions. Spent a decade playing for the Tigers before ending his career at Scunthorpe, where he started his coaching journey. Returned to Hull as U23s Assistant in 2019 and moved up to first team in 2022. Brother of former Hull and Tottenham defender Michael Dawson.

Goalkeeping Coach

London-born former goalkeeper who holds English and Turkish citizenship. Retired from playing at Boreham Wood aged 27. Coached at Leyton Orient before nearly three years with QPR’s first team under Mark Warburton and Michael Beale, then MK Dons. Joined Hull in 2024.

Anđelo Roguljić

Coach-Analyst

Croatian Coach-Analyst with a UEFA A Licence and two degrees from the University of Split. Started coaching in Hajduk Split’s Academy in 2020, moved into analysis at Široki Brijeg, then followed Jakirović through Zrinjski Mostar, Rijeka, Dinamo Zagreb and Kayserispor.

Head of Performance

Spent seven years at Blackburn Rovers, rising from Academy S&C Coach to Senior Athletic Performance Coach. Has been at Hull since 2016. Promoted to Head of Physical Performance in 2022 and to head of the whole performance department in 2025.

Jonathan Madden

First Team Sports Scientist

In elite football since 2011, including a decade at Middlesbrough, latterly as their Sports Scientist Support Officer. Also held Academy leadership roles at Boro and Leeds United before joining Hull City’s Academy in 2022. Stepped up to the first team in 2023.

First Team Physical Performance Coach

Leeds Beckett graduate who started with internships at Teesside University before three years at Huddersfield Town, working in both the Academy and the first team. Joined Hull in April 2024 after seven months as Rotherham United’s First Team Sport Scientist.

Marin Ivančić

Strength and Conditioning Coach

Croatian studied at Zagreb’s Faculty of Kinesiology and played alongside Jakirović at Sesvete. Has been his fitness coach since Gorica in 2018 and followed him to Hull from Kayserispor.

Elif Adak Görken

Nutritionist

Graduated from İzmir Demokrasi Üniversitesi in 2022 and took a Master’s in Sport and Exercise Nutrition at the University of Westminster, researching nitrate supplementation and high-intensity performance in female athletes. Interned at Göztepe and a Medicana hospital before joining Hull in March 2024, her first senior role.

Head of Medical and Performance Services

Started at Manchester United’s Academy before heading medical departments at Macclesfield, Preston and Derby, plus nine years at Nottingham Forest. At Hull since 2018, leading a 20-strong department covering medical, sports science and analysis across both squads.

Hull’s Head First Team Doctor since 2018, adding Head of Medical Services in January 2026. Also Chief Medical Officer at GB Taekwondo, with previous spells at Leeds Rhinos, Yorkshire Carnegie and Bradford Bulls. Founded athlete medical records app AB3 Medical.

Returned to Hull in 2025, having been Head Academy doctor there from 2019 to 2021. Doubles up as Hull FC’s First Team Doctor. Previously spent eight years at Leeds Rhinos, latterly heading up medical services, and seven more at Castleford Tigers.

Senior Physiotherapist

Was a Grimsby Town apprentice before retraining as a physiotherapist. Worked in the NHS before joining Hull’s Academy in 2016. Has been there ever since, moving onto the first team in 2019 and becoming Senior First Team Physio in 2023.

Physiotherapist

Was Academy Physio, Interim Head of Medicine and Head of Academy Medicine at Colchester United. Joined Hull to run Academy physiotherapy in 2024 and stepped up to the first team a year later.

Physiotherapist

Started out with non-league Harlow Town and Cambridge United’s Academy before joining Hull as a casual sports therapist in 2021. Rose through the Academy – Youth Development Phase, U18s, then Head of Physiotherapy – and joined first team in March 2026.

Sports Therapist

University of Hull graduate who came up through rugby league, taking student placements at Hull KR, Bradford Bulls and Wakefield Trinity before six years at Hull FC as Massage Therapist and then Assistant Physio. Joined Hull City in 2023 and still runs his own Beverley clinic, OptiFix.

Started with internships at i2i International Soccer Academy and Leeds United’s Academy before joining Hull in 2019 as First Team Analyst Assistant. Promoted to First Team Analyst in 2021 and to Senior First Team Analyst in January 2026. Has published research on wearable sensors in football.

Opposition Analyst

Spent 11 years at the Turkish FA, rising from league operations to Head Coach of the U15s, U16s, U17s and U19s, with spells as Head of Women’s Football and assistant with the beach soccer side. Joined Hull’s Academy as a youth coach in 2022 and moved onto the first team a year later.

Opposition Scout

An opposition specialist for 16 years, starting with Scout7 and a season as a Regional Academy Scout at Liverpool. Spent four years at Burnley, winning promotion to the Premier League twice, then a year at Fulham, before joining Hull in December 2017.

Lead Data Analyst

Spent two years as a Data Insights Analyst for a London tech company before moving into football with Stoke City as First Team Recruitment Data Analyst in 2023. Followed that with 16 months at Brentford as Assistant First Team Performance Analyst for Data, joining Hull in February 2026.

Senior Data Analyst

A University of Hull graduate who has spent his entire football career at the club. Joined as a Data Analyst straight out of University in December 2016 and became Senior Data Analyst in 2021.
