Head Coach
Took Eintracht Frankfurt to the 2021/22 Europa League title – the club’s first continental trophy in more than 40 years. The following year, reached the German Cup final and Champions League last 16, and once again qualified for Europe. Made more than 550 appearances for SV Ried and went on to manage them. Also led LASK in Austria, guiding them from second tier to European qualification in just three seasons, before earning a place in the Champions League qualifiers in his fourth. Had two seasons at Wolfsburg, earning their third-highest points total and securing Champions League qualification.

As a player, topped the Austrian Bundesliga’s goalscoring charts in 2001/02 and was named Footballer of the Year. Won eight caps for Austria, scoring once. Played alongside Glasner at SV Ried and Grazer AK, where he won the Austrian Cup. Managed FC Blau-Weiss Linz to the 2020/21 second-tier title in Austria, before joining Glasner’s coaching staff at Eintracht Frankfurt.

Appointed in November 2025 to replace Dean Kiely, who left the club in the summer. Performed the same role at Lincoln City, Stoke City, Brentford, Charlotte FC, where he was also Assistant Coach, and most recently Huddersfield Town. He has also worked in goalkeeping coaching at different levels for Derby County, Aston Villa and Burton Albion. Played as a goalkeeper himself – mainly for Hereford United in the fifth tier.
