Made more than 400 senior appearances as a player, for clubs including Tottenham and Crystal Palace, and coached at first-team level for Watford, Crystal Palace, Southend, Reading and Notts County. Had two spells as a manager, at Farnborough Town and Northampton, before moving into recruitment and technical roles, first as Director of Football at boyhood club St Albans City and then at Blackpool, ahead of joining Coventry as Head of Recruitment in 2022. Promoted to Sporting Director in July 2026.

Head Coach
Took charge in November 2024 and led Coventry back to the Premier League in 2026. The former England international previously managed Derby, Chelsea (two spells) and Everton. He won 106 caps for his country, playing in three World Cups and one Euros, while making more than 400 appearances for Chelsea and also representing West Ham, Manchester City and New York City.

Joined in November 2024 to work with Lampard for the fourth time. Was his assistant in two spells at Chelsea and also at Everton. Also had a three-month spell as Head Coach of Millwall.

John Dempster
First Team Coach
Joined the club in February 2020 as Lead Professional Development Phase (PDP) Coach and became Senior PDP coach in 2022 – leading the Under-21s to the Professional Development League title. Had a seven-month spell in charge of Mansfield in 2019 after working in their Academy and finishing his playing career there. Also represented Rushden & Diamonds, Oxford United, Kettering and Crawley.

Chris Jones
First Team Coach
Jones is working with Lampard for the fifth time in his career following two spells at Chelsea and one each at Derby and Everton. He first joined Chelsea as a fitness coach for the reserve and youth teams in 2006 but moved on to work with the first team alongside the likes of Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti. He has also worked as Performance Coach with the England senior team, as well as with the Under-21 and Under-19 sides.

Goalkeeping Coach
Joined Coventry in the summer of 2019 from Wolves, where he had been the Under-23s Goalkeeping Coach. Also coached at Cardiff City and New York Red Bulls before joining Wolves in 2015 and while at Molineux, also spent three years as the FA of Wales’ Under-17s Goalkeeper Coach.

Promoted to current role in June 2023 having joined the club for the second time a year earlier as First Team Performance Analyst. Originally joined in July 2017 as First Team and Under-23 Performance Analyst before becoming Head of Academy Performance Analysis. Spent two years at West Brom as Assistant Performance Analyst.

Long-serving staff member who joined in September 2018 as Head of Sports Science, moving into his current role in June 2024. Previously worked for Leicester, Peterborough, West Brom, Doncaster Rovers Belles and Scunthorpe as well as the Rugby Football Union and Yorkshire Carnegie Rugby Union Club.

Joined Coventry in the summer of 2021, having been Head of Medical Services at Aston Villa for the previous six years. Works for the Football Association as well. Has also worked as Chief Medical Officer at Walsall and with the English Institute of Sport and at the London 2012 Olympics.

Lead Physiotherapist
Joined Coventry in July 2026 from Saudi club Al-Ahli, where he had been Head of Physiotherapy for two years. Has also worked for West Ham, Reading, Chelsea and Nottingham Forest.

Appointed in the summer of 2022. Previously Head of Medical at Chesterfield, after also working as Academy Therapist and First Team Sport Rehabilitator at the club, and Academy Therapist at Mansfield.

First Team Performance Analyst
Joined Coventry in September 2023 after just over two years at Swansea, where he had three different roles with the first team. He joined them as Performance Analyst and moved on to work as Technical Analyst and then Tactical Analyst. Also worked for Derbyshire County Cricket Club, Belgian club OH Leuven and Derby County.

Moved to Coventry in March 2026 from Leicester, where he had worked for four-and-a-half years as Performance Analyst for the Under-21s, Under-18s and Academy. Also worked as a Coach Mentor Disability for the Football Association.

Assistant First Team Performance Analyst
Has been at Coventry since the summer of 2018 working in Performance Analysis before becoming Head of Academy Performance Analysis in September 2020. Was promoted to his current role four years later.
