LYNDON TOMLINSON is leaving his role as Head of National Recruitment for the 12s to 16s at Leeds United to join the investment group FMCF.

Tomlinson arrived at Leeds in July 2022 with a wealth of experience in scouting and recruitment. He was Youth Scouting and Recruitment Manager for City Football Group from 2014 to 2017 and then Assistant Head of Academy Scouting at Manchester United for the next five years.

At Elland Road he was part of what Academy Manager Adam Underwood has described as “one of the strongest recruitment departments in the Premier League, particularly when it comes to youth football,” with Craig Dean as the Head of Emerging Talent.

However, Tomlinson has now taking a role as Sports Director for FMCF Investment Group and will leave Leeds at the end of this season.

FMCF has offices in London, Medellin (Colombia), and Los Angeles. The group focuses on emerging markets in South America and “acquires undervalued and distressed assets for development and future sale.”

Investments include “European team franchises, player transfer rights, image rights, and youth Academies.”
