Performance Scientist Shergill leaves Birmingham to join Aston Villa

AMAN SINGH SHERGILL has left Birmingham City after four and a half years to become Physical Performance Scientist at near rivals Aston Villa.

Shergill joined Blues in June 2015 as an intern, before being promoted to full-time data analyst and then first-team sports scientist.

At Villa, he will work alongside lead sports scientist Jack Sharkey and report into Performance Director Jeremy Oliver. One of his primary responsibilities will be gathering and analysing performance data from devices including GPS.
