Geoff Scott, Tottenham’s Head of Medicine and Sports Science and longest-serving member of backroom staff, has left the club after 20 years.

The New Zealander joined in June 2004 from Fulham, where he was Senior First Team Physio. For 14 years, Scott was Head Physio at Tottenham before being promoted to Head of Medicine and Sports Science in 2018.

Writing on LinkedIn, he said: “After what has been an incredible time at Tottenham, my time with the club has come to an end this summer. I have been fortunate to be a part of Tottenham’s significant growth, working with outstanding players and staff throughout my time at the club.

“I am particularly proud of leading the Medical and Sports Science teams over the past six years. This integrated department of specialists worked tirelessly to support our players in all aspects of their training.

“Their dedication was invaluable as we strived to provide the best possible care and development pathways for players across the Men's, Women’s and Academy teams, helping them to perform at the highest levels.

“There have been many highlights over the years including reaching the Champions League Final, but the true highlight for me has been working with these exceptional individuals. I wish the players, coaches, staff, and ownership all the best for the coming season.”

Scott started out as a physio with the Fiji football team and then Auckland Rugby Union in his native New Zealand. During his time at Tottenham he worked with 11 permanent managers: Jacques Santini, Martin Jol, Juande Ramos, Harry Redknapp, Andre Villas-Boas, Tim Sherwood, Mauricio Pochettino, Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo, Antonio Conte and Ange Postecoglou.
