VICANN DURING has taken over from long-standing club doctor Stephen Lewis at Brighton.

Lewis, who had been with the Seagulls for eight-and-a-half years, left in January to take up the same role with Fulham.

He had previously worked for the Cottagers from 2003 to 2014. During, who has been in place for the last three months, has a background in muskuloskeletal medicine and is highly experienced in sport.

He worked with England Under-21s, U20s and U19s and was also Lead Academy Doctor at West Ham and Lead Doctor at Millwall, as well as working with several rugby teams.

During and Head of Medical Adam Brett went viral on social media this weekend after attending to striker Evan Ferguson during the 2-1 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Referring to their fine physiques, Copa90 tweeted: “Brighton’s physios are training for something the rest of us have no idea about.”
