HEAD COACH Antonio Conte has departed Tottenham along with his brother Gianluca, but the rest of the Italian’s staff have remained at the club.

Yesterday, Spurs announced that Conte was leaving by mutual consent after 16 months in charge.

When he arrived at the club, in November 2021, he brought five staff with him: assistant Cristian Stellini; brother Gianluca, who was Technical and Analytics Coach; and fitness coaches Costantino Coratti, Gian Piero Ventrone and Stefano Bruno.

Stellini has taken over as interim Head Coach to the end of the season, with Ryan Mason as his deputy. Stellini was on Conte's staff at Juventus in 2011/12 and again at Inter Milan, where they won Serie A in 2020/21.

He has deputised for Conte in five games, after the Head Coach underwent gallbladder surgery in February. Mason was interim Head Coach for the final seven games of last season and had stayed on as first-team coach under Conte.

Coratti and Bruno will also stay for the remainder of this season. Ventrone passed away last October, just a few days after discovering he was suffering from acute myeloid leukaemia. Conte has admitted that the deaths of Ventrone, Sinisa Mihajlovic and Gianluca Vialli, all within a few months of one another, had taken a great toll on him.

Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy said: "We have 10 Premier League games remaining and we have a fight on our hands for a Champions League place. We all need to pull together.

"Everyone has to step up to ensure the highest possible finish for our club and amazing, loyal supporters."
