Academy Productivity Rankings 2023/24: Behind the numbers

When it comes to producing Premier League players, the Category One Academies excel.

Of the 196 Premier League players who qualified for the rankings, 74.1% graduated from Category One Academies (Figure 1).

This number is up from 61.7% in 2022. Chelsea were by far the most successful club at producing Premier League players, with 19 of their graduates playing in the top flight last season.
