STOKE CITY Academy Manager Gareth Jennings is leaving to become Head of Technical Leadership Programs for Fifa.

Jennings, who was himself a former young pro at Stoke, joined the club from Leicester City in October 2016.

Chief Executive Tony Scholes said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank Gareth for all his hard work over the last two-and-a-half years. We are sorry to see him leave but wish him every success for the future and in his new role at Fifa.”

Jennings will take up the position at the beginning of June.
